I ran across Perry Marshall’s Website the other day. Perry presents an Intelligent Design orientation to everything that he argues about and has a number of discussion areas open – with a large area dedicated to the proposition that since the pattern in DNA is a code, and that all codes find designed by intelligence, therefore, DNA is proof of Intelligent Design. He challenges everyone to come up with just one example of a code brought about through natural, random occurrence to prove him wrong.

The Cover for the October 2008 edition of The Progressive offended many bleeding-heart Liberals to the point where some dropped their subscriptions to this marvelous monthly. The cover illustrates the Presidential contenders, John McCain and Barack Obama in an embracing kiss. The point being a commentary on Bipartisanship, among many others.
In this same Bipartisan Spirit, we see that now President Barack Obama clearly embraces the Faith-based initiatives of President (Boy George) Bush by extending and amending President Bush’s Executive Order 13199 of Jan 2001 with President Obama’s Amendment of Feb 2009. Read the rest of this entry »

Hi All,
Chris Crawford – in the What other Topics Conversation – suggests that we have an area in which folk may discuss the pros and cons of “taking the high road of a positive message” when dealing with Theists – and discussing the pros and cons of “taking the low road of in-your face confrontation” when dealing with Theists.

We support the Symbolic Anthropology orientation that Symbols and Symbolic Form evolve in the shift from proto-Homo Sapiens to Homo Sapiens beginning some 3 Million years ago or so. Symbolic Anthropology holds the orientation that through the use of Tools and Symbols, the evolving Homo Sapiens brain mass and physical skull size increase in size three-fold from the proto-Homo Sapiens’ beginnings. In a very real sense, through this process of evolution, Symbols become more and more abstract through this 3 Million year evolutionary process. Read the rest of this entry »
